Privacy Policy
Last updated June 13, 2026
CatholicFides was built as a digital work of mercy, not a data business. We collect as little as possible, we sell nothing, and we ask for no account. This page explains exactly what that means.
The short version
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information — ever.
- We do not require you to create an account or log in.
- We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used.
- Questions you ask our AI tool are processed to give you an answer; they are not tied to your identity.
Information we collect
No accounts. CatholicFides does not offer user accounts or profiles. We do not ask for your name, email address, or password to read the site, search the Catechism, or use the AI tool.
Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure traffic in aggregate — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from (country/region), what device and browser are used, and how people move through the site. GA4 collects this through cookies and similar technologies. This information helps us understand which resources serve people best and where to improve. We have configured analytics to inform our work, not to identify individuals.
Information you submit. If you email us, or use a contact form that opens your email program, you choose what to share (such as your name, email address, and parish). We use that information only to respond to you.
The AI tool. When you ask a question of the CatholicFides AI, your question is sent to our server and to our AI and search providers to retrieve relevant Catechism passages and compose an answer. Questions are not linked to any account or personal profile. Do not include sensitive personal information in your questions — and remember that the tool is not the Sacrament of Confession and carries no seal.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. CatholicFides uses cookies primarily for analytics (GA4), which help us count visits and understand usage trends. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of you, and we do not run third-party advertising networks on this site.
You can disable or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics. The site will continue to work normally without cookies.
How we use information
We use the limited information described above only to operate and improve CatholicFides — to keep the site working, understand which content is helpful, answer your questions, and plan future resources. We do not use it for advertising profiles, and we do not sell it.
Third-party services
A few trusted providers help us run the site: Google Analytics (usage measurement), our hosting and AI providers (to serve pages and answer questions), and embedded services such as Google Maps on our parish finder. When you interact with an embedded third-party service, that provider’s own privacy policy also applies. Affiliate links to Catholic booksellers may set their own cookies when you click them — see our Terms of Service for our affiliate disclosure.
Children
CatholicFides is intended for a general audience and is suitable for families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we require no account and request no personal details to use the site, the only data collected is the aggregate analytics described above.
Your choices
You can browse without cookies, opt out of Google Analytics, and decline to share any personal information. If you have emailed us and would like us to delete that correspondence, simply ask.
Changes to this policy
As the site grows, we may update this policy. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will be noted clearly.
