Who built this
A layman, not an institution
My name is Chris. I live in a small river town on the Ohio River in Kentucky with my wife, Michelle, and our three sons. I am not a priest, a theologian, or a member of any apostolate. I am a Catholic layman who loves his faith and wanted his boys — and anyone else who stumbles onto this site — to be able to find the truth of the Church told plainly, beautifully, and without an agenda.
CatholicFides was built in the hours after work and after the kids were asleep. It is an ordinary man’s ordinary offering, made the best I knew how. Whatever is good in it belongs to God and His Church; the mistakes are my own, and I will gladly correct them.
The name
What “B3 Trinitas” means
CatholicFides is published under B3 Trinitas Media & Ventures — a name with two meanings woven into one.
B³ is for our three sons. Their names begin the same way, and the three of them are the reason I get up in the morning and the reason this site exists at all.
Trinitas is the Latin for the Most Holy Trinity — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — the one God in whose name every soul is baptized and in whose love the whole of the Catholic faith rests. That three of our own sons should echo the Three Persons of the Trinity is a coincidence I have come to treasure as something like a quiet grace.

The mission
A digital work of mercy
The Church has always counted instructing the ignorant and counseling the doubtful among the spiritual works of mercy. CatholicFides is my attempt at exactly that, in the place where so many people now go with their hardest questions: a search bar.
When someone — a teenager up at two in the morning, a fallen-away Catholic afraid to call a parish, a curious Protestant, a grieving widow — types a real question about God, I want them to find the Church’s real answer. Not a hot take. Not someone’s opinion. Not an argument. The actual teaching of the Catholic Church, offered with the tenderness of a field hospital and the confidence of two thousand years.
Everything here is meant to be 100% faithful to the Magisterium, compassionate in tone, cited to its source, and clear enough for a curious sixteen-year-old and a theology professor alike. Truth and mercy are not rivals. The whole site is built on the conviction that they belong together.
The technology
How the AI actually works
Most “Catholic chatbots” let an AI talk freely about the faith — and a freely-talking AI will, sooner or later, invent something. That was unacceptable to me. So CatholicFides was built on a different and stricter principle.
When you ask a question, the site does not ask the AI to compose an answer from its own knowledge. Instead it searches the actual source documents — beginning with the Catechism of the Catholic Church — finds the passages most relevant to your question, and returns the Church’s own words.
The model’s only job is to present those passages clearly, with the exact source text shown alongside every answer, cited by paragraph and linked back to the source on Vatican.va so you can read it yourself. If the answer is not in the trusted sources, the tool says so plainly rather than guessing. It is, in effect, a faithful librarian — not a theologian with opinions.

The dedication
Where this is meant to lead
CatholicFides is a work of mercy first, but it is also meant to last — to grow into something that can sustain itself and do real good. My intention is that, as the site grows, its revenue would flow back to the Church it serves, beginning with local parishes — the small communities where the sacraments are actually celebrated and where the faith is actually lived.
And it is a legacy. I am building this for our three sons — so that one day, whether they tend it themselves or simply know that their father made it, they will have this as proof that an ordinary man can offer something to God with the ordinary tools of his time. If it brings even one soul closer to Christ and His Church, it will have been worth every late night.
